About HellVault
A New Kind of Horror Franchise
HellVault is a hybrid entertainment project that merges feature-film production, live attraction design, and immersive storytelling into a single creative universe. Built inside a massive industrial facility outside Denver, it combines the authenticity of physical spaces with cinematic production value to create something entirely new: a world where fiction and reality collide.
The HellVault Timeline
The project launches with “HellVault: The Movie” entering production in 2026, followed by the opening of “HellVault: The Experience,” a large-scale haunted attraction. In 2027, the story expands again with “HellVault: The Escape,” a series of cinematic escape simulations that continue the universe in real time.
The Mission
Our goal is to build an original entertainment brand that lives across multiple platforms, including film, live events, digital media, and merchandise, while staying grounded in authenticity and craft.
HellVault is more than a movie set or haunted house. It is a living, creative environment where everything you see on screen actually exists, waiting to be explored.
The Facility
The HellVault site is a heavily reinforced industrial complex that once handled explosive materials. Its architecture, including long corridors, containment chambers, and sealed bunkers, provides the perfect foundation for immersive production. Every wall, hatch, and mechanical system inside the Vault tells part of the story.
Our History and Vision
HellVault was founded by James Gregson, a filmmaker, audio engineer, and designer whose career spans television, film, and themed entertainment. Over the years, James has earned a reputation for blending cinematic storytelling with hands-on creativity and technical precision.
Much of that foundation was built through a long creative partnership with Rick Vaughn and Patrick Voss at the historic Alton Studio, where the team produced projects such as Sockville, Galactica Squad, and The Underground Comedy Network.
Those early productions combined practical effects, handcrafted sets, and offbeat humor — qualities that now define the spirit of HellVault.
Rick Vaughn’s extensive experience in lighting and television production continues to shape the visual design and technical management of HellVault, while Patrick Voss brings decades of expertise through his company VFXCreates.com, specializing in animatronics, puppetry, and practical effects for film and attractions around the world.
Today, through collaborations with VFXCreates, Blackstone Audio, Extinction Labs, and Creative Freak Studios, HellVault unites a multidisciplinary team of builders, designers, writers, and engineers. Together, they are creating an evolving entertainment ecosystem that merges art, technology, and storytelling into one seamless experience.
