Our longtime collaborator and primary effects partner. Led by Patrick Voss, VFXCreates is an industry leader in animatronics, puppetry, and practical creature design. Their work appears in film, haunted attractions, and live productions around the world. Together we are developing new ways to merge cinematic design and real-world performance.
Blackstone Audio
Blackstone Audio is an independent company specializing in professional sound systems and integrated control technology for the haunted attraction and themed entertainment industries.
Founded and led by audio engineer and designer James Gregson, Blackstone builds on a family legacy in electronics and manufacturing to create purpose-built systems that deliver power, reliability, and immersion.
The company designs and engineers audio solutions for specific applications, including actor-controlled effects, ambient soundscapes, voice processing, synchronized lighting, and zone-based safety announcements.
These systems are developed to withstand the high-impact environments of live attractions while maintaining studio-level sound quality.
Operating from within the HellVault facility, Blackstone Audio works directly with Extinction Labs to integrate custom audio, lighting, and motion systems into props, sets, and interactive elements.
This partnership supports the development of exclusive HellVault products and attraction technologies that can be adapted for other venues and franchise locations.
Blackstone’s ongoing mission is to bridge entertainment and engineering, combining creativity and precision to elevate the technical standards of the haunted and themed attraction industry.
Extinction Labs
Extinction Labs is an independent fabrication and design company that builds props, scenic environments, and advanced effects systems for the haunted attraction and film industries.
The HellVault project serves as its real-world testing ground, where new designs and prototypes can be developed, refined, and proven under live conditions.
Extinction Labs uses HellVault to research durability, realism, and audience impact, helping transform creative ideas into production-ready products. Select designs and performance-based systems will be offered through VFXCreates.com, expanding access to the professional haunt market.
The company also collaborates directly with Blackstone Audio to develop integrated audio and control systems for exclusive use within HellVault and future licensed HellVault attractions, events, and properties. This partnership ensures that every environment feels alive with synchronized sound, movement, and lighting.
Extinction Labs will also play a major role in supporting franchise opportunities for those looking to open new HellVault experiences in other markets.
Creative Freak Studios
Creative Freak Studios LLC is an independent film and post-production company located within the HellVault facility. The studio manages video production, editing, design, and digital content creation for HellVault and other projects.
It operates as a standalone business with its own dedicated studio inside the complex, allowing on-site collaboration with the build and fabrication teams at Extinction Labs.
Beyond producing the HellVault films, Creative Freak Studios develops promotional content, podcasts, short films, and music videos tied to the HellVault franchise. The studio also designs marketing materials, websites, and print work that support the project’s creative and commercial goals.
