Hands-On Help to Bring HellVault to Life
Not all roles require professional experience; sometimes the most valuable things you can bring are enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Our Shop & Build Assistants help keep the workshop running smoothly and support the construction of sets, props, and scenic elements for both the film and the haunted attraction.
If you enjoy working with your hands, want to learn new skills, and like being part of a creative environment, this is a great way to get involved.
What You’ll Do
Material Handling
Help move and organize lumber, metal, scenic materials, and tools.
Assembly Support
Assist builders with basic construction tasks like cutting, sanding, painting, and fastening.
Painting & Finishing
Apply base coats, scenic textures, and finishing details under the guidance of the scenic team.
Prop Prep & Maintenance
Help prepare props for use on set or in the haunt; assist with basic repairs.
Shop Organization
Keep the work areas clean, stocked, and safe for the team.
Requirements
- No prior professional experience necessary.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to safely handle tools and materials (training provided).
- Must be able to lift and move moderate-weight objects.
Availability during scheduled build and prep days at our Colorado facility.

Do I need professional shop or construction experience?
No. This role is designed for those who want to help, learn, and be part of the project without requiring advanced skills.
What will I be doing?
Material handling, basic painting, assembly, cleaning, and supporting the build team with day-to-day tasks.
Is this paid?
Shop assistants are usually volunteer positions. Some may receive small stipends depending on commitment.
What do I need to bring?
Wear work clothes and closed-toe shoes. All tools and safety equipment will be provided.
